Travelers who find themselves flying on JetBlue Airways on Super Bowl Sunday will get to honor the occasion with a free beer or cocktail.
The free drink is to go along with the broadcast of the game on JetBlue's 36-channel seat-back DirecTV satellite television service, the airline said today.
Instead of the usual $5 charge, JetBlue will offer a single drink free to passengers over 21 with proof of identification. Eric Brinker, JetBlue "director of brand management and customer experience," said that offering "a free beer on game day" is part of the airline's efforts to offer "the best possible flying experience every day of the year.''
